Drawing And Painting In A Relaxed, Creative Setting
If you’ve ever wanted to pick up a pencil or paintbrush—but weren’t sure where to start—the Imaginative Art Group at the Artisans’ Guild Gallery in Caboolture offers the perfect place to begin.
This relaxed, weekly session is designed for people of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re completely new to art or returning after years away, you’ll find a supportive environment where you can learn, experiment, and grow at your own pace.
Led by Chris Edwards, the group focuses on both skill development and creative exploration. You’re welcome to bring your own projects or start something new each week, working in your preferred medium—pencil, acrylics, watercolour or beyond.
What makes this group special is its balance. There’s guidance when you need it, particularly in areas like pencil techniques, perspective, and colour use—but there’s also space to explore your imagination and develop your own style. You’re not boxed into rigid lessons. Instead, you’re encouraged to create in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.
For many participants, it’s not just about improving their art. It’s about taking time out, connecting with others, and being part of a creative community
