Explore Different Art Mediums in a Relaxed Weekly Group
Each Thursday, the Artisans’ Guild Gallery in Burpengary East becomes a space of quiet creativity as the Thursday Painters gather to explore, create, and connect.
This long-standing group brings together artists working across a wide range of mediums, including pencil, pastels, oils, acrylics, watercolour and mixed media. Open to all experience levels, it offers a relaxed and inclusive environment where participants can develop their skills at their own pace.
Rather than a structured class, the group is built around individuals working on their own projects. This allows each artist to follow their own interests while still benefiting from the shared knowledge and experience of others. Learning happens naturally through conversation, observation and a willingness to exchange ideas.
The group is known for its friendly and supportive atmosphere. Members openly share techniques, offer encouragement, and create a space where both beginners and experienced artists feel comfortable participating. Over time, this has helped build not only skills, but also a strong sense of community.
Participants bring their own materials and enjoy the freedom to explore their chosen medium and style. With such a wide variety of approaches on display, each session offers new inspiration and opportunities to try something different.
Meeting weekly from 9:30am to 2:30pm, Thursday Painters provides both consistency and flexibility—making it easy to build a regular creative routine while remaining part of a welcoming group.
More than just a place to make art, it is a space where creativity and connection come together, week after week.
