Quality Craftsmanship Built on Decades of Dedication
Marilyn Boulton is a dedicated textile artisan based in Morayfield, working across knitting, crocheting, and rag rug making. With more than 70 years of experience, her work reflects a lifetime of skill, consistency, and careful attention to detail.
Her approach to craft has been shaped by a simple but firm principle—if something is worth doing, it should be done properly. This mindset, carried through decades of creating, is evident in the quality and finish of every piece she produces.
Marilyn has previously shared and sold her work through the Maleny Craft Group and through “Bondz on the Beach,” where she created Australiana-themed jumpers. These experiences have contributed to her practical understanding of both craft and presentation.
She finds inspiration in the process itself, valuing the way crafting keeps both hands and mind active. This ongoing engagement continues to motivate her to learn and refine new skills.
Currently, Marilyn is exploring raffia hat making while also preparing items for display and sale through the Guild, as well as contributing to upcoming member exhibitions. Her work remains grounded in her long-held belief in quality over quantity.
