Stitch, Chat and Create Each Week
On Monday mornings at the Artisans’ Guild Gallery of Caboolture, a quiet rhythm of creativity begins as the Hand Stitching Sisters gather to stitch, craft, and connect.
This welcoming group brings together people who enjoy a wide range of handcrafts, including sewing, cross stitch, crochet, and knitting. Open to all skill levels, it offers a relaxed and supportive environment where participants can work on their own projects while sharing ideas, techniques, and conversation with others.
Rather than a formal class, the focus is on creating a space where creativity can unfold naturally. Members bring along whatever they are currently working on and settle in for the morning, progressing at their own pace without pressure or expectation. For some, it’s a chance to make steady progress on a project; for others, it’s about reconnecting with a craft or simply enjoying the social aspect of creating alongside like-minded people.
The group meets weekly from 9:00am, with a small attendance fee of $3. There is no need for preparation—just bring along a project and join in. The simplicity of the format makes it easy for both beginners and experienced makers to feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.
Connection and creativity go hand in hand within the Hand Stitching Sisters. Members often find inspiration in what others are making, while the shared experience creates a sense of community that extends beyond the craft itself.
For those looking for a welcoming, no-pressure way to enjoy handcrafts, the Hand Stitching Sisters offer a space where skills can grow, ideas can be shared, and creativity can become part of a regular routine.
